- Fiscal Responsibility and Transperancy: My experiences on the Superintendent's Budget Advisory Committee, a PPIE Board member, and as a previous PUSD employee equips me with first hand insights into the district's budgetary processes and financial challenges. I am dedicated to ensuring that taxpayer dollars are allocated efficiently and effectively to support educational programs, facilities. maintenance, and staff development while maintaining fiscal accountability and transparency.
- Teacher Retention: I've worked alongside Pleasanton teachers for over a decade. Recognizing the critical role educators play in shaping students' futures, I am passionate about fostering a supportive work environment that encourages teacher retention and professional growth. By advocating for competitive salaries, adequate resources, and opportunities for ongoing training and mentorship, I aim to retain talented educators who are essential to our schools' success.
- Provide Clear Communication with Our Community: Effective communication is key to building trust and fostering collaboration within our community. Leveraging my background in PTA leadership and communication skills, I am committed to facilitating transparent and open dialogue between the school board, parents, students, and teachers. I will ensure that important decisions, policies, and initiatives are communicated clearly and consistently, soliciting feedback and addressing concerns to promote a culture of inclusivity and engagement.
- Ensure School Safety: With both a parental and staff perspective, I understand the paramount importance of creating a safe and secure learning environment. I am committed to implementing comprehensive safety measures, collaborating with local law enforcement, and advocating for resources to address safety concerns promptly.
- Champion Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: I have always been a strong advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion in our schools. As a school board member, I will be dedicated to fostering school environments where diversity is celebrated and ALL students feel included. I'll work hard to ensure fair access to resources and opportunities, striving for a community where all students can thrive.
